“The End of Coal : A Vision of the Future”

Through a variety of mediums young artists from across the UK will re-envision what the country could look like without coal power, explore the arguments for the phase-out of coal and offer a positive vision for a clean energy future.

As the UK heads for a record low in coal consumption in 2015, and the UK government looks to phase out the dirty energy source entirely, emerging artists will envisioning a coal free future. Artworks will vary from 2D work to audio/visual displays and will tackle issues from coal’s impact on health to its impact on the natural environment.
